Passion Play Performance

Dear St. John’s Church Family and Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we write to tell you we have made the very difficult decision to cancel this year’s Passion Play. Due to the continued spread of COVID-19 in surrounding counties, across the state and nation we want to do our part to continue to keep everyone safe.

In addition, due to the closure and necessary quarantine in March, we simply have not had enough practice time to prepare properly for this amazing production. While it pains me greatly to write this letter, I pray that each of you are seeking God in this time of uncertainty in our world. God has given us the blessing of TIME! Time to renew our faith and relationship with Him as other idols have been removed from our schedules. Time to pray. Time to read our Bibles. Time to focus on the goodness and blessings only He can provide.

One of my favorite verses comes from Psalm 121: I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Let us all turn to the Lord during these tumultuous and turbulent times. Let us focus on our Maker who sends us the Holy Spirit and the power to move mountains. We will all get through this as a church family through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

God’s Blessings to You Today and Always, Kendra Dilts, Julie Strous, and Miranda Strous
