Why should a Christian Pray?

Evangelism

Our Evangelism Ministry is a front leader for our church, dedicated to using communication and outreach tools as well as ideas and events. We exist to reach the people of this world, of this community, for Christ Jesus.

In Our Community

Serving in our community is an important part of who we are at St. John’s. Our desire is to show the love of Christ to Kenton, Hardin County, and surrounding areas by meeting the various needs of our community. There are many areas of opportunity for you to be involved in and to fulfill the God-given, unique desire of your heart to live a life of purpose. For more information and to learn how you can volunteer in the Kenton community, please let us know how we can plug you in.

Mission of the Month: Helping Hands

Helping Hands nonprofit, Christian-based outreach for Hardin County

Helping Hands is a nonprofit, Christian-based outreach for Hardin County. Their mission is to help families rise up out of the economic struggles. Helping Hands has many different facets of ministry. Although they started with back-to-school supplies they now distribute bread and food boxes every day. They also host Thanks- giving Dinner and Christmas gifts for the elderly and underprivileged families. They do fruit and treat bags for the elderly for Valentines Day and Easter.

They also do an Easter Dinner for underprivileged families and Easter baskets for the children which includes a talk about what Easter is all about. No one associated with Helping Hands is on payroll. Count- less people of our community donate their time. They are continually looking for new people to lend a hand at the different events.

If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about the ministry, they can be reached at 419-673-8650 or dwages53@hotmail.com plus they are located at 100 Cleveland Avenue, Kenton.
